Functional Aligner Treatment Malocclusion to TMD, Airways, and Habits

Course Program:

• Obtain the balance between function and aesthetics

• Explore advanced biomechanics and material innovations in aligner therapy

• Implement aligner-based treatment strategies for TMD, parafunctional habits, and OSAS cases

• Preventing relapse and avoiding iatrogenic disorders by achieving functional harmony

Recent advancements in clear aligner therapy have significantly improved its effectiveness in managing complex malocclusions associated with temporomandibular disorders (TMDs), parafunctional habits, and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

The integration of advanced biomechanics, innovative materials, and customized aligner modifications such as the SARA-Splint®, Hemi-Splints, Tongue Shield, and Torque Power Points (TPP) enhances treatment efficacy. Furthermore, the combination of clear aligners with fixed appliances and mini-implants/TADs (hybrid orthodontics) has improved functional outcomes and long-term stability.

This presentation will introduce an innovative treatment approach that optimizes the functional effectiveness of clear aligners, supported by clinical cases and scientific evidence.
